Westchester County Consumer Protection
Plumbing licenses are renewed on an annual basis with all licenses expiring on December 31st. Renewal documents are mailed to the home address of each license holder approximately five (5) months prior to the expiration date. In order to renew your plumbing license, you must fill out the applicable renewal form, provide all required documents and pay the requisite renewal fee. A complete schedule of licensing fees is also available for review.
Documents can be mailed to the office or placed in the secure drop box located in the lobby of 148 Martine Avenue White Plains, NY 10601.
All license cards, decals and documents will be mailed to the home address of the license holder by regular mail only.

NYC DOB Journeyman Info - you must meet one of the following qualifications :
- Have at least Five (5) years of full-time experience* performing plumbing or fire suppression piping under the direct and continuing supervision of a licensed Master Plumber or a licensed Master Fire Suppression Piping Contractor or equivalent, where at least one (1) year of experience was in New York City.
*NOTE: Qualifying experience must be specifically Plumbing or Fire Suppression. Plumbing experience cannot be used to qualify for the Journeyman Fire Suppression registration, and Fire Suppression experience cannot be used to qualify for the Journeyman Plumber registration.*

Have satisfactorily completed a New York State registered training program with one (1) year experience in New York City.
*NOTE: One (1) year of experience in New York City is required to obtain a Journeyman registration.*
Rockland County Master Plumber Renewal Beginning Monday, June 3, 2024, Rockland County will be launching an online, web-based Self-Service Plan Permit & Licensing Portal for the majority of County plan reviews and permits, as well as Consumer Protection Licenses.
